Jacob Spinney started out as a Magician very early on in his life. After graduating high school in 2004, he took up an apprenticeship at the James Randi Educational Foundation. In 2005 he was up in Vegas consulting in a creative capacity with Criss Angel for his A&E TV show, "Mindfreak." Jacob then worked with Criss on marketing one of his illusions to the magic community and since then Jacob has been creating, honing in his skills, and performing in his own right. During this whole time, Jacob's style of magic has slowly changed into a much more psychological artform. "I like to call myself a Psychological Illusionist in that the things I do involve reading or influencing people's thoughts. The magic props that I use are spectators' own minds."

Some of the many theater companies and troupes that Jacob has and continues to perform with include Spotlight Productions, Matlin Studios, Phoenix Theatre, Insurrection Theater Company, Soul Invictus, Freelove Cabaret, Space 55 Theatre Ensemble, Dragstar Cabaret, and Mesa Arts Center.
