I think from now on, before I make a video for my main channel (youtube.com/jacobspinney), I’m going to publish the script for it here on my blog and hopefully you guys can help me edit it and suggest ideas that will make it better. Unintended Consequences of The New Tobacco Tax

So it seems Obama’s promise to cut taxes on 95% of Americans is a load of shit. He’s increased the taxes of cigarettes by $0.62-$1.01 per pack. And who happens to smoke the most? The lower class. Once again, all the best intentions with all the worst unintended consequences. Although this will marginally lower the number of smokers, the side effect will be creating a higher demand for black market cigarettes which have no tax attached to them. In other words the government has committed entrapment by financially forcing poor smokers to become criminals and buy cigarettes on the black market which will inevitably further crowd our already crowded prisons with nonviolent offenders. Great job, Obama. Reduce the amount of smokers and make criminals out of the rest of them; get more tax revenue from higher cigarette taxes and spend away all that new revenue on making for higher prison

I hope

That you will all finally admit that government doesn’t work after this administration inflates the currency to the point of weekly grocery store trips costing $500 and more. The government artificially lowering interest rates is what created the illusion of housing demand when there was none, thus creating the housing bubble, which in turn created the credit bubble, which will now create a treasury bubble, which will then result in massive inflation of the currency in a futile attempt to stop the treasury bubble from popping as well. The government is trying to stop a recession and in doing so will only create an even worse depression. The only “change” that Obama will bring to this crisis is inflating the currency even more and making the depression even worse. What a change, people. What a change . . . I think I’ll do a youtube video on this. But in the meantime I’ll write it down. Here’s what I think about God.

First off, stop the definition game. God is defined in the dictionary as a being worshiped as creator and ruler of the universe. If you want to redefine the word to mean the universe or collective consciousness or some other hippie definition, go write a letter to webster.

SO, here are the usual positions theists take.

One: The argument of utility/usefulness. Arguments like, “it makes me feel good,” “it stops me from doing bad things,” “I don’t want to go to hell, so I’ll believe in this just in case.” The problem with these kinds of arguments is that it has absolutely no say on whether God actually really does exist or not.
